Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit

Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit provides preventive services to enable students to successfully perform their personal, emotional, social, educational and professional development.

Psychological Counseling and Counseling Unit aims to support the students' personal development; to contribute  to their mental, emotional and behavioral development; to help them acquire the essential knowledge and skills to solve academic, social and personal problems; and also to improve quality of life by developing their stress-coping and problem-solving skills.

The basic principle in the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit is confidentiality. Information about the applicants (without their own consent) is not shared with any person or institution. Information about you can only be shared if you or someone else might be harmed or if your life is endangered. Even under these circumstances, we will try to get in touch with you before passing information to someone else.

All applicants are welcome and treated with the same sensitivity and respect regardless of their individual differences.

Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit conducts group work, educational seminars and individual consultancy services  about issues such as facilitating  the adaptation process to university and dormitory life and providing skills to cope with exam anxiety, depression, relationship problems and adjustment problems.
