School of Foreign Languages fulfills two basic missions:

In the Preparatory Education Programs, it provides foreign language education for our students who  have registered to a program with a foreign language preparatory year, but could not succeed in the Foreign Language Proficiency Examination prior to their education in their departments. Preparatory programs aim to have them  gain the knowledge, skills and self-confidence required for using the foreign language effectively in their academic lives as well as in business and social circles.

In the Modern Languages ​​Department, it designs and implements programs with compulsory and elective courses for the students enrolled in Hacettepe University faculties and colleges in order to have them acquire and develop foreign language skills they will need in their academic programs and in their professional life after graduation.
